Feudi di San Gregorio 2000 Serpico Aglianico (Irpinia)

Smells enticing, with gorgeous aromas of dried spices and Mexican chocolate, plum and black cherry fruit. But despite a rich, velvety texture, this Aglianico-based wine seems to be in a bit of a closed phase, showing little fruit on the palate and drying tannins on the finish. Give it some time.
