Feudi di San Gregorio 2011 Serpico Aglianico (Irpinia)

Exotic spice, toast, espresso and mature black-skinned fruit aromas lead the nose. The palate is rather austere, showing dried berry, spearmint, ground pepper and wild herb alongside aggressive tannins that clench the finish. Give the tannins a few more years to soften then drink up. Kerin O’Keefe
