Champoux is the iconic vineyard for Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, here presented as a pure, unblended variety. It's a dark, juicy and substantial wine whose pure cherry fruit does not overpower the grace notes of leaf and tobacco. For purity and raw power, this wine rates an even higher score; it is only the roughness in the finish that keeps it here, at least for the moment.
