Fife 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

The winemaker swings for the fences and hits a double. This wine, with 25% Cabernet Franc, is unbalanced. There's something awkward about the tannins, which stick out like a sore thumb, and the fruity acids, which leave a bitterness on the finish. May improve with age.
