Intense butterscotch and toast aromas dominate. This barrel-fermented Viura is round, full and not at all flabby or shaky despite being very ripe. Flavors of melon and apple are sweet and oaky, while the finish is long, structured and nutty, creamy and buttery in flavor. Just 100 cases of this highly individual white were made. Drink through 2017. Michael Schachner
