Heavy oak and caramel aromas are dominant, with suggestions of mocha and sawdust. This is tight and drawing on the palate, with wood-dominated flavors of resin, clove and distant berry fruits. This simmers with oak and clove on the finish, but should clean up with another year or so in bottle. Drink through 2017.
