Flâneur 2018 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

The initial aromas showcase a roasty-toasty wine which seems to emphasize the new barrel impact, although the new oak percentage is listed at just around 10%. There's pretty blueberry fruit underlying the wood, amplified with highlights from 15% whole clusters in the fermentation. It's a wine with immediate appeal, and should be enjoyed over the next couple of years. Paul Gregutt
