Floodgate 2000 Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

This sturdy, opaque wine opens with aromas of dark fruits, offset by herb and smoky oak. It's dark all the way through, with earth and bitter chocolate accents. This shows good structure, closes with smooth tannins and should improve over the next couple of years.
