Flynn 1998 Cellar Select Clos d'Or Pinot Noir (Oregon)

Starts off with odd orange-juice aromas; also some wheat—another strange element. Piercing tannins make for a grabby mouthfeel that's too full of oak—the raspberry and cranberry fruit winds up getting covered. Not sure if it's trying too hard or just doesn't have the pedigree. Michael Schachner
