Fornacina 2009 Brunello di Montalcino

Black fruit, chocolate, licorice and menthol aromas take center stage in this brawny, forward Brunello. The palate starts off with fleshy black cherry accented with notes of cinnamon-spice layered with bitter dark chocolate, but it finishes on a note of drying tannins. You'll also notice the hefty alcohol on the close. Kerin O’Keefe
