Four Aces 2009 Shiraz (Mendoza)

Hefty and fruity, with depth to the black fruit nose. The palate is a bit sticky and tannic, but it's ripe and driving, with wild raspberry, black plum, tea and spice flavors. Finishes a hint herbal, but on the plus side the wine isn't overextracted or too jammy and sweet. Michael Schachner
