Francis Darroze 1979 Domaine au Durre Bas Armagnac

Aroma is reluctant at first, but then after a couple of minutes it breaks out, emitting dry, chewy scents of bacon fat, lanolin and palm oil. A cocoa-like taste greets the taste buds; by midpalate, the tastes include almond butter, walnuts and buttery rancio. Finishes well, with creamy tastes of candied nuts, nut butter and caramel. P.P.
