Francis Darroze 1986 Domaine de Coquillon Bas Armagnac

First whiffs are treated to fruity/spicy scents of yellow fruit and green peppercorn; over time, the aroma bears down on the wood resin, leather and vanilla bean components. Palate entry is off-dry; at midpalate, the overriding flavor turns out to be lean and woody, oaky and leathery. Aftertaste shows a touch of oil. P.P.
