Franciscan 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

A modest Cabernet that's thin for the vintage. You can taste the underlying quality of blackberry flavor, smooth tannins and elegant acidity, and there's a generous dollop of oak, but in the context of the vintage, it's disappointing.
