Frankland Estate 2016 Shiraz (Frankland River)

This vintage of Frankland Estate's cool-climate Shiraz is powerful, youthful, complex and bright fruited. Ripe plums and cherries are laced with mocha, wild green herbs, dried tarragon and licorice. The mouthfeel is silky with plump juicy fruit and bags of spice, cinched tightly by fine mineral-smudged tannins. Drink now with decanter at hand until 2029 and possibly beyond. Christina Pickard
