Freedom Run 2017 Stone House Vineyard Pinot Noir (Niagara Escarpment)

The nose is mild, not giving much away beyond hints of warm spices and cranberry. The palate is smooth and supple, showing a pleasing roundness of red cherry fruit set against a tart cranberry and warm spice backdrop. Fresh acidity keeps everything in line, with polished tannins in the background. It resolves well on the finish, ending on a smoothed-out vanilla tone. Alexander Peartree
