Freemark Abbey 1997 Edelwein Gold White (Napa Valley)

Pale straw color. Opens with floral and citrus aromas that are very complex, suggesting apricot, honeysuckle and cinnamon. Intensely sweet (26 percent residual sugar), with searing acidity. This wine has a long history of aging to perfection, and is far too young to drink now. Try in 2007 or later.
