Fritz Haag 2017 Brauneberger Juffer Spätlese Grosse Lage Riesling (Mosel)

#51 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2019
Return to List

Savory tones of crushed slate, smoke and honeycomb are brightened by layers of concentrated peach and apricot in this delicately textured yet penetrating spätlese. It's sweet and ripe yet steely and filigreed, with a reverberating backbone of acidity. It drinks well now but it is likely to improve through 2035. Anna Lee C. Iijima
