Fullerton 2017 Tenebris Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This interesting blend uses one barrel each from four of the single-vineyard selections. That said, the whole seems a bit less than the sum of those excellent parts. The specificity that shines through each of them individually is here muted, though pleasantly enough. Principal flavors are tightly wound cranberry and raspberry fruit, with an earthy, musky note running through the finish. Paul Gregutt
