Fullerton 2018 Claudius Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

This is a single clone (943) wine from the ArborBrook vineyard. The aromas are a bit bloody, as if the wine wants to punch you in the nose, and the color is almost as dark as oxblood. Tightly focused blackberry fruit has a peppery accent, and there's a dusty quality to the tannins, heightening astringency. Paul Gregutt
