Fundacion de Mendoza 1999 Prestigio Red (Mendoza)

This oak-aged blend has a very odd mix of aromas: green herbs, baking spices and strawberry sucking candy (but very little fruit). The palate is lean and dry, while the finish is surprisingly sweet, with a flavor of red licorice. Some coffee and wood spice also is detectable. Michael Schachner
