Gabriel Meffre 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

This is a rich, mouthfilling blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah aged 12 months, 50% in old oak and 50% in tank. Flavors of dried fig and black cherry preserves are rich and creamy in texture, edged by flurries of cacao powder and fine, firm tannins. Best enjoyed now–2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
