Almost super ripe, displaying intense, soft cherry, cassis, coffee and smoked meat flavors, with a touch of oak. Saved from flatness by a dusty jacket of tannins. An interesting wine, good by itself, better with the right fare. Grilled lamb, filet mignon, with some sweetness in the sauce or topping.
