Gary Farrell 2003 Redwood Ranch Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma County)

Editors' Choice

About as good as Sauvignon Blanc gets in California. It's ultraripe, with lemon and lime, gooseberry, apple and pine flavors, and has very crisp acidity, but that makes it sound like lots of other wines. Where it excels is in sheer intensity.
