Gélas 10-Year-Old Bas Armagnac

The bouquet springs to life following aeration and offers lush smells of light caramel, English toffee, baked apple pastry, pineapple and oak. The palate entry finds oaky sweet tastes of nougat, milk chocolate and chocolate-covered raisins; the midpalate stage is candied with suddenly bittersweet flavors of treacle and marzipan. Finishes candied, nougaty and vigorous. P.P.
