Gélas 20-Year-Old Bas Armagnac

The lovely bouquet features scents of cheesecloth, wool, leather, grapefruit, oak and unsalted butter. The palate entry is lusciously maple-like and earthy; the midpalate stage showcases the oak influence in the forms of cocoa, honey and oaky vanilla. Ends up very sweet, thickly textured, toffee-like, and robust. P.P.
