The personal holding of the Duboeuf family, Château des Capitans has produced a 2007 that is much more structured and dense than most 2007s from Beaujolais. The rigor of vineyard selection shows in the firm tannins and big, bold black fruits. There is, of course, some delicious sweet juiciness, but this is definitely a fine, solid wine.
