Gershon Bachus 2013 Anteros Red (Temecula Valley)

This blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Zinfandel shows pepper, plump purple flowers, candied berries and Concord grape on the nose. There is piquant boysenberry fruit on the sip, as well as candied violets and lilacs, but the wine still tastes very young and needs more resolution. Matt Kettmann
