Geyser Peak 1996 Reserve Chardonnay (Sonoma County)

Spicy, with plenty of creamy vanilla oak and pineapple-scented fruit. Surprisingly, it's not overly rich in the mouth, with a sense of restraint—as if it's holding something back that will blossom with time. Adequate acidity provides a sense of structure and balance. Joe Czerwinski
