Plum, cranberry and cherry—but not too much oak—make for a lovely nose, while the soft-ish palate is more round than blisteringly tannic. Midpalate and finishing flavors of espresso and chocolate seem oak-related, yet there's no woody resin flavors to detract from the purity. Meets all the standards of a fine wine without forcing it.
