The nose is like a basket of fresh-picked strawberries, while the palate is deeper and richer, and fairly chewy. The flavors run toward cherry and chocolate, and the feel is smooth throughout. Yes, it's a bit like a cough drop at times, but mostly it's full, balanced, snappy and pleasurable. Quite the find among red-grape sparklers.
