Gilbert 2019 Blanc White (Orange)

A blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewürztraminer, from the high elevation New South Wales region of Orange, this is a zippy, refreshing wine that commences with delicate aromas of lime, orange, pear and floral notes. As it warms, the fruit becomes more honeyed and pronounced. Racy acidity dominates a lightweight palate. You can see the influence of all three varieties, although the sum of their parts is less characterful than one would hope. Christina Pickard
