The high quality of simple, introductory wines like this cuvée is a great sign for the bigger 2005s yet to come. The aromas are intense without being jammy or overripe, featuring peppery, herbal notes to go along with bold raspberry and cassis fruit. The tannins are supple enough to make this approachable right away. Drink now, and plan to stock up on Robin's 2005 Cuvée Alberic Bouvet when it's released. Joe Czerwinski
