Girard 2000 Petite Sirah (Napa Valley)

Black as ink in color, with pronounced aromas of white pepper and blackberries. Tastes fruitier than it smells, with a myriad of berry flavors, and the tannins are rich. Yet it's too young now, with fresh, sharp acidity. Best to lay this puppy down for a good five years. Ten years is even better.
