The nose is quite oaky, offering bacon and also some tomato. Raspberry fruit is dominant, that and some seriously drying oak. The finish has coffee notes and yet more woodiness. All in all this wine is adequate, but like the quiet kid in the corner, it makes no noise and is hard to notice. Michael Schachner
