Goldback 2018 Cuvée Syrah-Grenache (Rogue Valley)

Bringing a big burst of blue and black berry fruits front and center, this included about one-third whole clusters in the ferment. Aged in neutral oak, it nonetheless has a toasty note and bold accents of roasted hazelnuts. The blend was 43% Grenache and 57% Syrah, upping the Syrah component from past vintages, and all the fruit was sourced from the Jaxon Vineyard. Paul Gregutt
