González Byass NV Viña AB Amontillado Seco Palomino (Jerez)

Generally speaking, most Amontillados are good at their worst, but for whatever reason this wine barely makes the grade. It lacks pop on the nose and seems dilute and drab. In the mouth, the flavors strike as sour and sharp, but also musty and weak. With so many fine Sherries available, this one seems like a laggard. Michael Schachner
