Red and black fruit flavors are complemented with clove, cinnamon and roasted barrel scents. The wine hits a bit of a wall in the midpalate, but that may just mean it requires a little extra time (or breathing). It's a good, flavorful effort, and the barrels add nice flavors of bacon and smoke.
