Goose Ridge 2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

This racy Cabernet is full of tart red fruits; its flavors are forward and lightly spicy. The wine seems to have been acidified, perhaps to provide some lift. It is a nicely focused effort; I like the way it gathers itself and holds that focus through a smooth, seamless, long finish. Paul Gregutt
