Goose Ridge 2019 Sol Duc Goose Ridge Vineyards Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

This is principally Cabernet Sauvignon (64%) along with Malbec (20%), Merlot (13%), Petit Verdot (2%) and Cabernet Franc. Aged 22 months in 65% new French oak, the aromas boast notes of raspberry compote, sweet herb, pipe tobacco, cedar, rhubarb, soil and wood spice. Ripe, rounded red-fruit flavors follow, hanging on the finish. It shows the prettiness and sophistication of the vintage. Sean P. Sullivan
