This Mencía is offering up a pretty combo of earth, cola, graphite and black-fruit aromas. The palate pops with lush berry fruit balanced by darkness and weight; flavors of tobacco, earth, berry and cedar impress, while a mossy finish that's long and elegant carries clout but isn't too bullish. Drink through 2016.
