Grande River 2016 Chardonnay (Grand Valley)

The fresh nose offers fruity aromas of pineapple, mango and melon, alongside somewhat soapy notes of honeysuckle. This is firmly medium bodied but feels bright and zippy on the palate, with ripe flavors of oranges and mangoes joined by honey and white pepper. A touch of vanilla and a squeeze of lemon introduce the finish, which lingers on a bitter peanut shell note. Fiona Adams
