Gresser NV Recumbent Red (Oregon)

Pinot Noir is not often blended (Champagne being the clear exception), but here it is partnered with 23% Syrah from Southern Oregon. The results are mixed, with neither grape showing much varietal character. A lightly fruity, cherry-flavored red, it finishes with some stiff tannins. Paul Gregutt
