Grgich Hills 2011 Estate Grown Chardonnay (Napa Valley)

This Chardonnay, which comes from the winery's American Canyon and Carneros vineyards, shows modest alcohol levels. Oak brings toastiness, while malolactic fermentation was avoided to preserve acidity. Flavors veer towards lemon, lime and grapefruit, with riper note of mangoes. It's a dry, elegant wine for drinking now.
