Gritsch Mauritiushof 2018 Ried Kalkofen Smaragd Riesling (Wachau)

Fresh, ripe apricot and compote shine on the nose. That apricot richness, that glinting, juicy, fleshy ripeness, takes center stage on the conentrated palate. Even that slight but pleasant bitterness of cooked apricot peel is there, lending a textural backdrop. Bright lemon oil freshness makes this even more intense. This is powerful and bold, ripe and luscious in its fruitiness, yet dry. Drink by 2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
