Grochau 2016 Melon de Bourgogne (Willamette Valley)

This Oregon take on a French Muscadet is sharply herbal, with a mix of cucumber, tomatillo and gooseberry flavors. It was aged in a mix of acacia, stainless steel, neutral oak and cement; this last vessel seems to dominate the texture, although the overall effect is to flatten out the flavors and dull the finish.
