Hannes Reeh 2016 Heideboden Cuvée Rot Red (Burgenland)

A hint of tar and licorice plays on the nose alongside crushed blackberry notes. The tarry backdrop attains an almost chocolaty softness on the rounded palate. The smooth, soft tannins are countered by a vibrant, inherent freshness that gives this a wonderful overall balance. The finish is fresh, chocolaty and long. Anne Krebiehl MW
