Bell pepper is present on the nose of this 90% Merlot-5% Cabernet Sauvignon-5% Cabernet Franc blend made by Doug Margerum. There are ample red fruits too, along with gingerbread cake and dried violet. The flavors recall dark red strawberries and crushed herbs, and the smooth but strong tannins ensure that this will drink well and likely better in the years to come. Enjoy 2017 onward.
