Sémillon remains a challenging grape for much of California, but this blend, which includes 33% Sauvignon Blanc, strikes a fine balance between fruit and crispness. Aromas of lemon and grapefruit pith, Asian pear and dried hay are precise and clean on the nose. The palate sits atop a chalky frame, with light citrus and pome-fruit flavors most apparent.
