Haras de Pirque 2006 Estate Chardonnay (Maipo Valley)

Hard, dry and minerally on the bouquet, with cider and pineapple as the main flavors. Zesty, lively and racy for sure, but also loaded down with juice-like flavors of apples and oranges. Big on kick but short on balance and elegance. Isn't 14.8% is just too much for what should be an easygoing Chardonnay? Michael Schachner
